Sarah on February 17, 2014 0 Comments This year marks the fourth time in a row that the IQAir HealthPro Plus has been awarded a Consumers Digest “Best Buy” above all other high-performance air purifiers. Their five-year warranty, six fan speed selections, and four stages of filtration are stated by the publication to be the model’s winning combination. Although those are three fantastic reasons to give the HealthPro Plus a high grade, we think there are four overarching reasons why the air purifier deserves recognition. Those four reasons are: coverage, cutting edge technology, convenience, and certification. 1. Coverage With the power to purify over 1,000 sq. ft. of space, IQAir’s HealthPro Plus can provide impurity relief for all or most of your home. Also, with a 320° air exhaust, you won’t be limited to placing the unit in a corner. Wherever it is placed, clean air is exhausted in all directions. Many other high-performance air purifiers have limited space constraints and only exhaust at one angle. 2. Cutting Edge Technology The current HealthPro Plus has not stayed the same since its inception. IQAir continues to make changes and advancements, keeping this unit at the forefront of air purification innovation. Forget small tweaks, the New Edition HealthPro Plus has made huge strides since its previous model. IQAir states that the new model “delivers up to 25% more clean air, up to 38% longer filter life and 32% less sound than previous HealthPro Plus models.” They’ve done this by using what they call a “New Edition fan,” which uses aerodynamics to provide unsurpassed air purifier fan power. You would think that using such a powerful fan motor would create lots of noise, but because it is placed between two sound muffling filters and rubber suspension pads, the unit is impressively quiet. Also, combatting one of the biggest air purifier complaints, filter lifespan and maintenance, IQAir’s HyperHEPA filter has an average lifespan of 4 years. 3. Convenience Power and innovation are lost if the product is too complicated to use and maintain. With the HealthPro Plus, this is not the case. Changing out the filter is as easy as pulling out a drawer, and if you do have trouble, clear and detailed instructions are available in the owner’s manual. You’ll never have to guess when it’s time to change the filter, either; an indication light will let you know when it’s time. Six fan speeds allow you the convenience of choosing the specific air and noise output you find most comfortable. An advanced timer allows you to schedule operation for certain days and hours, completely customizing your experience. Also, the included remote control allows you to make fan speed changes and turn the timer function on and off without getting up from your seat. 4. Certification Performance claims hold no validity without certification. Each HealthPro Plus air purifier is not only tested, but a signed Certificate of Performance is mailed to you with the unit. IQAir uses an electronic particle counter to test each HyperHEPA filtration system. Only filters that deliver an efficiency of 99.97% are used. Alos, the air delivery rate for each speed setting is tested and measured against the published rate to ensure that the unit meets or exceeds expectations. There’s no guessing game as to whether your HealthPro Plus will perform, you have a signed document detailing just how well it will perform. We understand that it can be hard to navigate through all of the claims and fluff when looking for an air purifier. When making an investment in clean air and health, you want to be sure you’re making the best decision for you and your loved ones. Sure, we believe in this product because of its impressive innovations, but also because IQAir backs those innovations with an impressive certification and warranty promise. Don’t take our word for it, though; take Consumers Digest’s word for it.
